About Onyx:

✩₊˚.⋆☾My Deities☽⋆⁺₊✧

My Mother Goddess is a Hindu Deity named Maa Shakti (also known as Maa Parvati, Maa Durga, Maa Kali, etc...). the wife of the Hindu God, Lord Shiva; the mother of Lord Ganesha and Lord Kartikeya. I have walked along her side since the end of 2023, when I received the gift of my first candle in her name. Shortly after connecting with her spirit, I stumbled upon an Oracle Deck with her many forms. The Kali Oracle Deck.

My Father God is a Kemetic Deity with the name of Khonsu Pa-Ir-Seker (Lord Khonsu, the Provider). The God of the Moon; the God of Time; "He who Traverses the Sky"; the Son of the Creator God, Amun-Re (Amun Kematef), and his wife, the Great Mother Mut (the Queen of the Gods).

With both divine families combined, it creates a total of 7 deities.

✩₊˚.⋆☾My Ancestors☽⋆⁺₊✧

I'd like to give thanks to my Mother, Tammy Derricks for birthing me into this life. My mother taught me much about this life. She had a lot of pain carried within her spirit, a lot of constraints that couldn't be released before she transitioned to the spirit realm. With her influence, I was able to push past my own boundaries of what I was taught to be real and fake, right and wrong, left and right, up and down... challenging my own beliefs and sense of direction. Taking the Road Least Traveled.

I would also like to thank my Nana, Brenda Merritt for raising me as well. Sharing her wisdom, concerns, worries, her story... She has been an integral part of my growth and my mindset. The reason why i continue to strive for peace within my future family, within my career, within myself. She reminds me that life won't always be perfect, but you can always strive and do the best you can to be the greatest you can be. She's still alive, but she is still a guide that I hold [dearly] to my heart.

I would like to thank my Great Grandmother, Maudie May Conley. I wasn't able to share any fond memories of my own with her before she transitioned to the Spirit Realm, but she shows up for me in spirit. She's been my guide, my protector, a listening ear, as well as a catalyst for so many of the changes and paths that I've taken. It's not entirely sure to me whether she practiced the same [or similar] spiritual practices as I do; however, I know that she's had connections with others that practiced these forms of Magick. I'm Grateful for her influence; even if only in spirit, I'm able to communicate with her.

✩₊˚.⋆☾Zoë Onyx Maluhia☽⋆⁺₊✧

My name is Zoë Onyx Maluhia. I'm 24 solar years, Non-Binary LGBTQIA+, and I [currently] practice Kemetic, Hindu, and Jewish Spirituality. I began my journey with Tarot Reading, after having my interest gauged by witchcraft in 2019, which [eventually] led to me learning about different occult sciences and esoteric teachings.

I wasn't able to practice much of what I do [now] when I lived with family; but [since moving out] I've traveled far and have began to study various cultures to broaden my perspective of myself and the life that I've been given. And I've learned that not everything has to be black & white all the time...

I started out with the idea that witchcraft and spirituality be fun to get into... making potions, spells... the "aesthetic" of a spiritual person was pleasing to my eyes... Yet, I was failing to realize that with this path, the waters are much deeper than the surface entails. You have to be willing to swim underneath the waves. Sometimes you get tossed by the current, but it's all a learning experience when being taught how to swim in the divine ocean.

And once I learned how to swim, I just stayed out in the deep.

Occasionally, I'd return to the shore to see the lands in a different light, a new perspective... yet, rather than waiting and remaining in the familiar that most would follow, I've found more comfort in embracing and exploring the unknown.

You never know what questions formulate... the many answers that follow... along with even more questions.
